70th Anniversary Auction

The 70th anniversary celebration is really ramping up with the recent announcement of a one night only showing of the Wizard of Oz in high definition in 440 movie theaters across the country on September 23. Today The Wizard of Oz 70th Anniversary Ruby Slipper Auction was formally announced to the public. The online auction commences September 10 and closes September 24. The stars of the auction are The Ruby Slipper Collection, original design sketches, and select pieces from the Inspirations of Oz Fine Art Collection. In addition, a prestigious doll company will be donating a one of a kind doll and it is probable other Oz licensees will be taking part. Speaking of auctions, I hope to show lots from the Oz Collectors Exchange Auction held at the Chesteron Wizard of Oz Festival.
