Noble Toys Wizard of Oz Bendy Figs

 

The toy division of the Noble Collection has recently announced a WONDERFUL toy figure line that features such esteemed properties as Gremlins, Universal Monsters, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, DC Heroes and Villains, and now The Wizard of Oz.  Bendy Figs are described by The Noble Collection as 

'A BRAND NEW Toyllectible line of figures with highly detailed sculpts in a bendable form factor to pose and display.' 

And indeed, this first peek of the Tin Man shows us how highly detailed these figures are.  I LOVE the term toyllectible!!!!!!   The Noble Toys Harry Potter line are some of the most intricate, beautiful toys I've ever seen and I sincerely hope that The Wizard of Oz will get the same treatment.  Next time you are in a Barnes and Noble, I highly suggest taking a minute to browse through the Harry Potter toys so you can get an idea of what we may hope for Oz.  The 80th Anniversary was, sadly, pretty lackluster.  I'm hoping we'll see a little better for the 85th.  It seems it's been a long time since we've had figures of any kind and toys are very much needed to perpetuate the love of Oz in children.  And The Noble Collection has wonderful lines to appeal to adult collectors, it would be fantastic to see Oz among those ranks as well. 

Hopefully, we will get a peek at another character very soon!!!

Souvenirs from Land of Oz North Carolina!!!

 

The Land of Oz was a wonderful theme park located in picturesque Beech Mt., North Carolina from 1970 to 1980.  It brought the land of Oz literally to life and is a beloved childhood memory for those that experienced it during it's original heyday.  It was closed for many years but is privately owned and now hosts private tours and events such as Journey With Dorothy and Autumn at Oz.  The original park, sadly, fell into disrepair, but restoring it  to it's former glory and more is a true labor of love that deserves our support.  It's attractions like this that make Oz endure for the young and young at heart.  

The original park souvenirs are highly sought after collectibles for both Wizard of Oz fans and collectors of theme park memorabilia.  Now new items are produced for fans to take some of their park experience home to cherish forever.  Fortunately, for those unable to travel, the Land of Oz is offering their memorabilia online.

Hanna Andersson Sleepwear

Let the joyous news be spread!!!   Oz pajamas with absolutely darling illustrations now available at Hanna Andersson stores nationwide.  I would expect them to show up online soon, but for now they are only in stores.  I'm working on getting more info.  

Adult pricing is around $50 for tops and around $50 for bottoms.  I believe the children's pajamas are around $50 as well.  I should have more info this weekend.

Hallmark Novelty Ornaments

Dorothy has been available at Walmart for the past two years, but this year, so far, she and her friends seem to be only available at Amazon.com. The new ornaments are really cute!! I'm glad they included more characters, but it would have been nice to see more product in stores.
