Tonner Leading Ladies of Oz Charity Auction REMINDER - UPDATED

September 4th is fast approaching and we've been treated to succulent teasers of these amazing one of a kind creations.  Now there are images of some dolls previewed by USA Today and the LA Times.  All I can say is WOW, WOW and WOW!!  The sketches do not prepare you for the magnificence of the actual doll. Get those wallets ready!  Proceeds benefit Habitat for Humanity. Bidding is Sept 4 - 14th through eBay.  If you'll be in the New York area the dolls will be on display at the Fashion Institute of Technology Sept 4 - 10th.  From there the dolls will go to Bloomingdales until October 11th.

Tonner Doll Company Auction Sneak Peek!!

This week is the 75th Anniversary of The Wizard of Oz and while Warner Brothers celebrates they are also taking this momentous opportunity to give back.  Several licensees are lending support to Habitat for Humanity, but none more than the Tonner Doll Company.  Tonner has always been a big supporter of the Oz community and in September a one-of-a-kind doll auction will commence with proceeds supporting Habitat for Humanity.  Please see the original press release here.  The auction is also covered in the Autumn issue of Fashion Doll Quarterly. And if dolls aren't your thing you can always help by simply donating.  There are Wizard of Oz gifts for every donation level.  You can see them in this previous blog entry.  Or check with your local chapter of Habitat for Humanity to volunteer.  

The auction isn't until September 4, but today Tonner Doll Company treats us to a sneak peek of Glinda by Betsey Johnson and Dorothy by Chris Benz.
